How It Started

Endurofix was born on a Sunday long‑run rant between two friends, Mark (the road‑running mileage machine) and Ross (the trail‑running mountain goat). Somewhere between another dodgy banana at a water table and yet another burst packet of generic gel, we realised South African runners were still fuelling like it was 1995. Records worldwide are falling because athletes have embraced 60‑90 g of carbs per hour—yet here, even Comrades veterans still survive on an Energade, a banana and a prayer.

The Problem We Saw

  • Limited access – Premium gels, drink mixes and recovery blends are hard to find locally or cost a fortune to import.

  • Fragmented shopping – You have to hop between four stores (and four shipping fees) to cobble together race fuel.

  • Knowledge gap – Many athletes don’t know what to take, when to take it, or why the science has changed.
