Replaces Electrolytes
A high-carb energy gel delivering 25g of carbohydrates per serving in a 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio. Neutral, mildly sweet flavour designed to stay palatable across long efforts.
What it is
Näak Boost Energy Gel is a high-carb gel built for sustained, intense efforts. Each gel delivers 25g of carbohydrates from a blend of simple and complex carbs in a 2:1 glucose-fructose ratio, which is the ratio supported by research for maximising carb absorption during exercise. It also includes 185mg of electrolytes (sodium and potassium) and uses a jelly texture that's easier to get down than thicker traditional gels.
When to use it
- Long training sessions and races where you need consistent carb intake
- High-intensity work where chewing or stomaching solid food isn't realistic
- Anywhere in your fuelling plan where you want to layer flavours - the neutral profile won't clash with other products
- Ultra-distance events where palate fatigue from sweet gels becomes a problem
How to use it
Take one gel every 30 minutes during exercise to maintain energy levels. At 25g of carbs per gel, two gels per hour puts you at 50g/h, three puts you at 75g/h - adjust based on your hourly carb target. Always take with water to support absorption. If you're working toward higher intake (60-90g/h or more), build up gradually with consistent gut training rather than ramping intake on race day.
Key features
- 25g carbs per gel: a meaningful single dose, easy to stack toward 60-90g/h targets.
- 2:1 glucose-fructose ratio: uses separate transporters (SGLT1 and GLUT5) to push absorption beyond what single-source carbs allow.
- 185mg electrolytes: sodium and potassium to replace what you lose in sweat.
- Neutral, mildly sweet flavour: avoids flavour fatigue and won't clash if you're mixing products.
- Jelly texture: easier to swallow than thicker gels, especially during high-intensity efforts.
How this fits into your fueling plan
Most endurance athletes aim for 60–90g of carbs per hour, typically from 2–4 products. At 25g, this pairs well with other fuel sources.
