A quick-energy real food bar built around cashews, cacao nibs, and dried coconut. A chocolate-leaning Fastbar variant with the same fast-carb base as the rest of the range.
What the Racefood Coconut, Cacao & Cashew Fastbar is
A 22g pressed bar from Racefood with cashews, dried coconut, and cacao nibs (each at 10%) on a glucose-syrup, sugar, and honey base. The cacao gives it a mild chocolate profile without melting like a chocolate-coated bar - useful in hot conditions.
This is the chocolate-leaning variant in the Fastbar line - same fast-acting carb profile as the other Fastbars, with three real-food solids instead of one or two.
When to use the Racefood Coconut, Cacao & Cashew Fastbar
- 15 minutes before a session or race for a fast carb top-up
- Mid-race when you want a chocolate-flavoured solid alternative to gels
- Short, intense training sessions of 60-90 minutes
- Hot-weather training where chocolate-coated bars become impractical
How to use the Racefood Coconut, Cacao & Cashew Fastbar
Eat one bar 15 minutes before a session, or every 30-40 minutes during longer efforts. Cacao nibs contain small amounts of theobromine and caffeine - not enough to be a meaningful ergogenic dose, but worth noting if you're sensitive to stimulants late in the day.
Chew well and wash down with water or a sports drink.
